Poker Review Contest : NBC Headsup Poker Championship 2005 DVD Set

I really am cut off from the newest poker news, because I just recently found out that NBC released their 2005 Heads Up Poker Championship on a DVD set. I also just recently found out about the importance of calls to action on websites.

Writing a blog these past few years has been cathartic at times, and also entertaining. But it hasn't exactly been profitable. For years I've been trying to figure out how to effectively monetize the traffic that my blog gets. I've tried poker affiliate banners, I've tried adsense. Nothing really seems to work.

After reading an Amazon affiliate newsletter, I realize that the problem might be that I'm just blindly putting ads up instead of actually asking the user to DO something. So I'm borrowing an idea that I've seen Randy Ray, the host of a poker affiliate radio show that I occasionally listen to, implement pretty successfully.

I can't really say for sure yet whether this Poker Tournament DVD is worth the money. The way the invitations for the first season were just arbitrarily handed out kind of made the NBC Heads Up thing seem like a little bit of a joke. And given that there are countless hours of video footage of BOTH Hellmuth and Chris "Jesus" Ferguson seems like it would detract from any real learning value that this DVD set might have. But it has three out three five star reviews on Amazon, so I think it's worth giving a chance. But I don't know because I haven't seen it yet... I just ordered it and am waiting for the DVD to appear magically at my door early next week.
